More than a hundred people are undergoing suspects in the “case of the Coordinating Council” - SK Belarus

The Investigative Committee of Belarus said that he is considering cases against at least 100 people whom he considers related to the coordination council of the Belarusian opposition. The SK claims that the list of these people was provided to them by an unnamed former activist who returned to Belarus through a "pardon commission". Earlier, the propaganda channel recorded the plot about Alexander Pipkin, who was presented as the returning former member of the Council. The Coordinating Council denies Pipkin’s connection with the organization.

Repressions touched the politics of Pavel Latushko, journalist Sergei Chalian and ex-head of the young front of Arthur Finkevich-they all emigrated from Belarus. In addition to them, the security forces came to the workers of the Mozyr oil refinery - to Pavel Melnichenko and Andrei Lapitsky. Melnichenko participated in the protests of 2020, and Lapitsky was signed to the channels, which the Belarusian authorities call extremist. The human rights center Vasna confirms that mass searches are being held in connection with the Cosopian Council. The security forces associate searches with six articles of the Criminal Code of Belarus:

The Coordinating Council was created in August 2020 by Belarusian opposition: Kami, among them Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, writer Svetlana Aleksievich and Maria Kolesnikova. The Council set himself the goal of transferring power from those who received the majority in the projected elections of 2020 Alexander Lukashenko to Tikhalovskaya. All member: Ki the Presidium of the Coordination Council were either arrested or forced to leave Belarus. In March 2024, elections will be held in the coordination council.

Protests in Belarus in 2020

• Belarusian protests 2020 began on August 9, when the intermediate results of the presidential election were announced. The country's authorities said that President Alexander Lukashenko is re -elected from 80% of the vote. Foreign eczitollas showed the victory of Svetlana Tikhanovskaya with 71% of the vote.

• The security forces, when suppressing protests, used special cruelty. In total, at least 35 thousand people were detained in 2020–2021. According to the UN, torture and bullying were applied to many - the UN reported about 450 complaints received. The Investigative Committee of Belarus announced more than four thousands and 600 complaints. None of them were considered.
