We were always strangers everywhere, and the townsfolk are afraid of strangers. The songs wrote about this, and books, and even filmed the cinema. Is the “beetle in the anthill” of Strugatsky not about that?

Now several cars are on the checkpoint. They have elderly ladies and children with mothers.

But not all. A lot of minors remain there, in tunnels.

This phenomenon arose insanely long ago, at the very beginning of our era, and its origin, in general, is understandable: the whole people were expelled from their land and went around the world.

Imagine a village or even a city, whose inhabitants themselves live in a shot, because the Earth allows you to feed a very limited number of people in the district. And suddenly in this district, where the whole way has long been established, where religious departures are supposed to be performed in a certain way, several families come, and possibly a large group of refugees, which even in common for all around God do not believe! What?

And then also crop failure for next year ... Who is to blame? I think that there can be no discrepancies - of course, these non -Christ!

Is it a miracle that these "strangers" did not break everyone at once?

But they did not interrupt. And they begin to build their homes, cultivate the worst land (they have already been divided the good!), And suddenly, after a few years, it turns out that these “strangers” live no worse than the locals! Yes, hard work, yes, mutual assistance, but this is not obvious, especially less working neighbors. Is it not witchcraft here? Are there any devilish intrigues?

And then these bastards begin to give money to growth! Yes, the first banks on Earth arise when hardworking and leaning Jews form the first own accumulations. Well, how do people relate to this? ..

And so, through the efforts of Partygenosse Goebbels, in just a couple of years, the German people explained that the worst of all is the internal enemy, their Christmas-propelled people-Jews! But before drawing a direct analogy with modernity here, I want to turn to the realities of Russia and the USSR, which is a little better, although by age I did not find either the “case of doctors” or the popular struggle against “cosmopolitanism” ...

What, too - strangers?

Certainly. For the most part, the Jews went to the Russian Empire in the process of three sections of Poland, as Solzhenitsyn enlightened us in their systematic work "Two Together", although single Jewish families lived even in medieval Kyiv and Novgorod.

But, you see, the word “Jew” in the Russian language is even phonetically crowded with a negative connotation, it is heard “liar”, “enemy”, “temporary”, “harmful” ... It is better not to speak about the South Russian Jew, because there is “liquid”, “terrible”, and “greedy” ... Is it possible to love this?

Actually, I personally did not feel anti-Semitism on myself-outwardly a cute chubby blonde, and the surname, frankly, is not the most expressive ... Well, yes, the nose with a hump, but not too much! From two Russian grandmas and one German grandfather, my children's appearance received much more than from the grandfather of the Jew.

However, my famous Jewish grandfather, of course, had an impact on my attitude towards me, but not by the nationality of “really”, but, perhaps, the situation in society. As our head teacher Anna Petrovna said loudly: “What do you want from Mirova, he has already decided the whole future!”

I remember how the dad of one of my classmates wrote a denunciation to the police on several “kids of rich parents”, and the surnames in this denunciation appeared exclusively Jewish. Their proud carriers are now living-some in Paris, some in New York, some here, in Israel.

This is one of the main reasons: Jews in the USSR almost always lived better than Russians! I will not pick up in statistics, but higher education, prestigious professions, abilities for music and sciences were the norm for us, pure or half, Jews, to a much greater extent than other nationalities that inhabited Moscow. This is even despite the everlasting quotas and direct prohibitions often entered into force.

If before the revolution the classic “Jewish” professions were a jeweler, a tailor, a moneylender, then in the 60-70s we became musicians, dentists, administrators ... Well, laureates of the Nobel Prize!

So, what is the average Jew smarter than the average Russian?

I would not say. But perseverance, attentiveness, patience and mood for career growth are much higher in them.

When the surroundings repair all possible obstacles to his father, grandfather and great -grandfather, but they still win, then the grandson learns these obstacles to successfully overcome. Remember how Spartan boys were taught to run with heavy weights on their feet? Here is the same effect.

So let's admit: “smarters” in Russia do not like, regardless of nationality, there were only a lot of Jews in this category.

Can you love them? Especially if in spontaneously arising informal communities the same “closeness” forms as in the official, but with an inevitable opposite sign! Well, as a result of this, they constantly say about the Jews: "They do not let strangers to themselves!"

Why? They are allowed, but - sensible professionals, and not envious and evil consumers.

And also - mutual assistance. Here in Israel, finding myself in a chemically clean Jewish environment, I felt that we were all as it were ... one family. I think that in Russia I would have felt it if I chose the Jewish circle of communication.

However, there are two more extreme reasons for deep anti-Semitism, this is the percentage of Jews in the tops of the CPSU (b) in the 20s, and the NKVD in the 30s.

The infringement of rights in tsarist Russia naturally led to the fact that a lot of Jews went to the revolution, and then to the repressive bodies, in a certain sense for "revenge." In the 40s, the same, by the way, was in the young Baltic republics, when the pendulum of national hatred swayed several times in different directions ... And the authorities welcomed and cultivated it!

Well, the last word about Soviet times. Thanks to the US policy, which the export of grain in the USSR made it dependent on the free departure of the Jews (remember the amendment of the Jackson-Vannik?), It was they who were the first to escape from the totalitarian poor nightmare and successfully realized it.

Here, involuntarily, the remaining hatred arose!

Meanwhile, already evening. The exchange of the first group of our citizens for convicted terrorists has already ended. A contagious exchange, but, thank God, several families for the first and a half today will fall asleep calmly today.

And so, I admire today from Israel with the “reaction of the world community” to events 07.10.2023 and I am amusing!

Well, I won’t even write about Dagestan, everything is clear there. But where does the anti -Semitism come from today from students and professors of Harvard, the respectable Parisians, Amsterdams?
