A criminal case regarding the dissemination of “fakes” based on political hatred (clause “d”, part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code) against Daniil Vodolagin was received by the Sovetsky District Court of Volgograd. Mediazona found information about this on the court’s website.
It is unknown what caused the criminal case to be opened. Journalists of the publication suggest that the person involved in the case was Daniil Vodolagin from the city of Dubovka, Volgograd region, who until October 2022 published anti-war posts on his Twitter.
“Mediazona” also notes that in June a person with the same name was fined under the article on inciting hatred and enmity (Article 20.3.1 of the Administrative Code) because of comments on VKontakte in which he called Russians “cattle”, which “ he sees no one but himself.” In 2022, Vodolagin was also fined due to publications on this social network - the reason for administrative prosecution under the article on the distribution of prohibited symbols (Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) was a picture with a swastika.
