According to her, department specialists checked five episodes of the series and did not find any violations of current Russian legislation in their content. Roskomnadzor, as Orlova said, also noted that the series “is distributed on the Wink and START platforms with the sign of information products “18+”.”
Previously, Orlova herself contacted Roskomnadzor with a request to check “The Boy’s Word”. However, she did not explain why, in her opinion, the series needed to be checked. Orlova also admitted that she did not watch it herself.
At the end of November in Tatarstan, police called for a conversation with the parents of teenagers who imitated the characters in the series “The Boy’s Word.” As reported, they created several telegram channels and named them after famous Kazan criminal groups of the 80s.
The series about teenage gangs in Kazan is gaining popularity in Ukraine. Its soundtrack, the song “Pyala” by the Russian group “Aigel,” topped the rating of the most popular songs in the Ukrainian segment of the Apple Music platform.
