In France, they made a verdict to adolescents guilty of complicity in the murder of teacher Samuel Pati

In Paris, the juvenile court sentenced six teenagers who were accused of involvement in the terrorist murder of the teacher of history and geography of Samuel Pati.

The trials, which began on November 27 , passed behind closed doors, since all the defendants, except for one, have not yet reached the 18th anniversary. All of them studied at the college of the Parisian suburbs of the confused-obsent-nororin, where a crime occurred on October 16, 2020.

Five young men were accused of indicating the terrorist Abdulle Anzorov for the money, what the teacher looks like, followed the college’s courtyard while the killer was waiting, and then warned him that Pati was leaving after the lessons.

Another accused is a 16-year-old girl (13-year-old at the time of a crime), whose lies led to a campaign against Samuel Pati in social networks. The 18-year-old Anzorov, who read this lie, decided to “take revenge” to the teacher, whom he never knew, for “insulting the prophet” (showing Charlie Hebdo cartoons in a lesson, in which the “offended” schoolgirl itself was not present).

Five young men were accused of “criminal conspiracy to prepare violence under aggravating circumstances”, and the girl in “slanderous denunciation”. The maximum punishment that threatened the accused - up to two and a half years in prison.

As a result, on Friday evening, at the only open court hearing, sentences were issued - from 14 months conditionally to 2 years.

The schoolboy who indicated the terrorist at the teacher: 24 months with a trial period of 3 years (of which 18 months - conditionally, and 6 months of the “real” conclusion were replaced by house arrest with an electronic bracelet).

“You told the attacker a description of the teacher’s appearance and clothing”, told about his usual route, “you remained (with a terrorist) for several hours” and “contributed” to his “concealment,” the court said to this accused (quote for AFP): “You hired other students”, “organized the observation“ on the territory of the college ”for several hours” and, finally, “pointed out at the same time Samuel Pati, when he exits college. ”

Another teenager received 20 months conditionally with a test period of 3 years, two accused were sentenced to 18 months with a probation period of 3 years, and one more - by 14 months with a probation period of 2 years.

Offenses “completely established” during meetings; The sentences were made taking into account the “seriousness of the facts”, as well as the “personalities” and “evolution” of the accused, the court said in his decision.

The girl who slandered the teacher was sentenced to 18 months conditionally.

At the exit from the hall, the lawyers of the relatives of Samuel Pati sharply criticized the sentences sending the “bad signal”, and causing “anger”, “disappointment” and “misunderstanding” in the victims.

A year later, in November-December of the 2024th, the “main” process in the case of the murder of Samuel Pati should begin: eight adults will appear before a special court of jury on terrorism, including the father of the convicted girl.

The decisions about when the court will be held in another case - on the murder on October 23, 2023 in the city of Arras from Ingushetia Mohammed Mohamshov, the teacher of the French language and literature of Dominica Bernard, is not yet.
