The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow refused to satisfy the request of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the arrest in absentia of the founder of the Tanuki and Ersh network, Alexander Orlov, in a case of causing property damage. this . reports TASS

Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs put Orlov on the international wanted list. The businessman’s lawyer, Vladimir Podolin, insisted that he was not hiding abroad, but was there “on business matters” and was ready to return to testify at the request of the investigation. Podolin also added that Orlov fully repaid the damage in his criminal case, which amounted to 20 million rubles.

A case of causing property damage on an especially large scale (points “a” and “b”, part 2 of Article 165 of the Criminal Code) was opened against Alexander Orlov in 2022. As wrote Kommersant , the reason was a statement by the management of the Promtechnocom company, which owns space in Moscow City. Orlov, who owns the Mercury Fitness fitness center, was accused of not paying rent for the premises. According to the publication, the damage was estimated at 110 million rubles.

In September, Vedomosti wrote that Orlov sold shares of 33.3% in the companies Tanuki, Tanuki-Krasnodar and Tanuki-N.-Novgorod. The restaurateur's representative clarified that he decided to focus on foreign projects.
