A film distributor was fined for filming a “long kiss” between two women. To do this, they used the “classification of kisses”

The Tagansky Court of Moscow fined the film distributor “Russian Report TV Agency” 1 million rubles under the article on “LGBT propaganda” among minors (Part 2 of Article 6.21.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences) because of the footage of two women kissing. The corresponding resolution was published on the court’s website, and drew “Layout” attention to it. The document says that when making a decision, judge Olga Sinelnikova took into account the “classification of kisses.”

The resolution states that on May 20, 2023, the KinoLiving TV channel, whose founder is TA Russian Report, showed the American-British comedy series “Episodes” labeled “16+.” The fifth episode contained "a controversial scene demonstrating non-traditional sexual relationships."

Judge Sinelnikova concluded that it showed “an image of a sensual interaction between two persons of the same biological sex (female), namely: a prolonged kiss expressing sexual passion; caressing movements of one woman’s hand over the breast area of ​​another.”

The document says that when making a decision, the judge took into account the “classification of kisses.” Judging by it, kisses can be social and sensual. The latter differ depending on the “types of feelings”: kisses of affection, kisses of tenderness, kisses of respect and kisses of love.

Sinelnikova ruled that the TV channel should have labeled this episode “18+” or with the text “prohibited for children.”

In early December, a court in St. Petersburg fined the Aiva TV channel for “LGBT propaganda” because of Sergei Lazarev’s video for the song “So Beautiful,” which contains footage of two girls touching their hands.
