FSB officers detained 18 suspects in preparing and committing terrorist attacks and sabotage in the annexed Crimea. this was reported at the Public Relations Center of the special services. As reported by RIA Novosti,
They stated that the detainees were allegedly planning terrorist attacks against the head of the annexed Crimea Sergei Aksenov, the chairman of the regional parliament Vladimir Konstantinov, the mayor of Yalta Yanina Pavlenko, the pro-Russian blogger Alexander Talipov and public figure Oleg Tsarev.
“18 agents and accomplices of the Ukrainian special services were detained, involved in committing five acts of sabotage on sections of railway lines, blowing up gas pipelines, as well as vehicles belonging to a representative of the administration of the Zaporozhye region and military personnel of the Ministry of Defense taking part in a special military operation,” said the FSB Central Operations Center. .
They also reported that they allegedly identified the curators of the detainees from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the SBU. 30 criminal cases have been filed against the detainees under unnamed articles; they face up to 25 years in prison.
