Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported on December 19 that air defense in the Odintsovo city district repelled a drone attack. According to preliminary data, no debris, destruction or casualties were found at the crash site. Emergency services are working at the scene.
Prior to this, at 11:54 a.m., Vnukovo airport reported that, for reasons beyond their control, temporary restrictions were being introduced on the arrival and release of aircraft.
RIA Novosti confirmed that temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft were introduced at Domodedovo and Kaluga airport. Seven aircraft from there were redirected to alternate airfields.
According to unconfirmed information from the Baza telegram channel, the “Carpet” plan was introduced at Domodedovo, Vnukovo and Zhukovsky airports, and planes were redirected to Sheremetyevo.
Updated: During the period of restrictions at Moscow airports, 38 flights were delayed for departure, reported the Federal Air Transport Agency. 16 aircraft were sent to land at other airports.
Restrictions at Domodedovo for take-off and landing of flights were in effect from 11:33 to 14:00 Moscow time, at Vnukovo only for take-off - from 11:50 to 14:00.
