The court sent St. Petersburg resident Victoria Petrova, who was accused of spreading “fakes” about the Russian army, to forced psychiatric treatment. this on her Telegram channel . reported Her lawyer Anastasia Pilipenko
The reason for initiating a criminal case against Petrova was her posts on social networks. In them she wrote about the crimes of the Russian military in the Ukrainian Bucha. In addition, she quoted a Ukrainian doctor who said that Putin is a schizophrenic.
During the trial, the prosecutor asked the court to order compulsory treatment for Petrova in a psychiatric hospital. During the investigation, a forensic psychiatric examination declared Petrova insane, concluding that she was not aware of her actions when she wrote the posts that became the reason for initiating a criminal case. After this, Petrova was transferred from the pre-trial detention center to psychiatric hospital No. 3 named after Skvortsov-Stepanov. There, according to Pilipenko, Petrova was subjected to bullying by medical staff.
Petrova was forced to undress for a “bodily examination” and then wash herself in the presence of men. They also refused to respond to the girl’s request to give her the opportunity to change the gasket. The hospital staff, according to Pilipenko, tied up Petrova, shook her “like a mongrel,” and also promised to beat her “as a welcome to the new place.” In addition, Petrova was injected with drugs that prevented her from speaking.
She noted that, according to current legislation, Petrova’s treatment in a psychiatric hospital will last six months. After this, doctors will decide whether to continue treatment, stop it, or continue it as an outpatient.
Thus, Pilipenko emphasized, Petrova’s forced treatment in a psychiatric hospital could last indefinitely. The lawyer also said that Petrova herself would prefer to receive a real sentence in a colony. Since in this case it is at least clear when she will be free again.
