The Central Election Commission denied journalist Ekaterina Duntsova registration of an initiative group to nominate her as a presidential candidate

The department said that 100 errors were found in the registration documents. In particular, according to CEC member Yevgeny Shevchenko, the notary incorrectly certified the documents, indicating the wrong passport number of the organizer of the initiative group meeting. The minutes of the meeting, according to the commission, were prepared after the meeting itself, which does not allow establishing the exact size of the group. The data of almost 20% of the initiative group have discrepancies in the application for its registration and the notarized protocol.

“Ekaterina Sergeevna, you are a young woman, you still have everything ahead of you. Any minus can always be turned into a plus. Any experience is still experience,” said Ella Pamfilova at the end of the meeting.

Having been refused by the Central Election Commission, Duntsova turned to the leadership of the Yabloko political party - Grigory Yavlinsky and Nikolai Rybakov - with a request to nominate her as a presidential candidate: “Due to restrictions established by law, I will not be able to hold a second meeting of the initiative group, but we can nominate my candidacy from a political party. I ask you to consider the possibility of holding a congress and nominating me from the Yabloko party.” — she said, adding that she plans to appeal the CEC’s refusal in the Supreme Court.

In response, the head of Yabloko, Grigory Yavlinsky, said that Duntsova’s nomination as a candidate from his party in the upcoming presidential elections was “excluded” because “we don’t know her.” Earlier, Yavlinsky himself announced that he would not participate in the presidential elections.

The Civil Initiative party nominated Boris Nadezhdin as a presidential candidate

This decision was made at the party congress. The delegates unanimously supported the nomination of Nadezhdin. He, in turn, asked for membership in the Civic Initiative party. “I ask you to accept me as an ordinary member of the Civil Initiative party.” Many people criticize me for changing many parties, but I just live a long time, but the parties don’t,” he explained .

Reportedly, Nadezhdin’s nomination as a presidential candidate also supported the “Way Home” movement of mobilized wives, which is seeking the return of their husbands from the war in Ukraine. “We support you, Boris Nadezhdin, and thank you for not passing by and being able to raise this topic,” one of the movement participants told Nadezhdin.

The politician himself explained that he decided to run as a candidate in the elections from the party in order to reduce the number of signatures that need to be collected from 300 thousand to 100 thousand. He will be able to begin collecting them after registering his candidacy with the CEC.

She recorded a video message in which she stated that show business stars appeared half naked at her event on their own initiative. The party itself, according to Ivleeva, was a presentation of unpublished photographs of women that she took when she was editor-in-chief of the Russian edition of Playboy magazine.

Photos and videos from Ivleeva’s closed party that were previously distributed online outraged Russian deputies, social activists, representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church, z-bloggers and military personnel at the front in Ukraine. They complained about the participants and organizers of the event to the Prosecutor General's Office and demanded that they be held accountable.

The greatest public outcry was caused by the image of rapper Vacio, who came with only one sock on his penis. Later, he was arrested for 15 days under the article of petty hooliganism, and was also fined 200 thousand rubles under the article on “LGBT propaganda.”

Russian state news agencies published a video of Vacio's apology, in which he says he "does not support LGBT" and condemns his supporters.
