Propagandist Krasovsky, who called for the genocide of Ukrainian children, was hospitalized. Ukrainian media write that he was poisoned

Former Russian-language broadcasting director of the propaganda channel RT Anton Krasovsky reported that he was hospitalized.

“Here people asked: am I alive, is everything okay? Well what can I say? At the beginning of the week, my stomach suddenly twisted, I began to feel sick, and then I lost consciousness. They took me to the clinic. I’m gradually coming to my senses,” he wrote late in the evening of December 24 in his Telegram channel.

At the same time, the Kyiv Post, citing sources in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, claims that Krasovsky was poisoned. At the same time, his condition allegedly “continues to deteriorate.” “It’s likely that the latest messages on the network were not written by the propagandist himself,” noted the publication’s unnamed interlocutor.

This statement was refuted by Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the RT television channel. “Krasovsky just called me. Comes to his senses. And this is really Krasovsky, and not “someone instead of him,” as the Kiev people promised,” she wrote in her Telegram channel.

In October 2022, Krasovsky, in a conversation with Russian writer Sergei Lukyanenko, said that it was necessary to drown and burn Ukrainian children who were victims of propaganda. A few days later, Simonyan announced that RT was ending cooperation with Krasovsky, calling his statement “game.”

Krasovsky publicly apologized for his words. The head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, ordered to check the propagandist’s statement. However, the department did not find evidence of a crime.

In February 2023, Krasovsky was convicted in absentia in Ukraine. He was sentenced to five years in prison with confiscation of property for public calls for the violent overthrow of the government in the country and for the genocide of Ukrainians.

In September of this year, Krasovsky reported that he received a threatening letter. Unknown people sent him a photo of the murdered Daria Dugina. There was also a signature stating that the murder was organized by Ukrainian intelligence.
