The star of the Korean film "Parasite" was found dead

48-year-old Korean actor Lee Sun-kyun, who played one of the main roles in “Parasite,” was found dead. This was reported by the local publication Yonhap.

According to him, Lee Sun Gyun's body was found in a car near a park in central Seoul. Before this, the actor’s manager reported to the police that he had left home, leaving a suicide note.

Yonhap writes that Lee Sun Gyun committed suicide. Previously, he became involved in an investigation into illegal drug use. The actor was interrogated by the police three times, despite the fact that drug tests showed a negative result.

Lee Sun Gyun himself asked for a polygraph test and claimed that he was tricked into taking drugs.

Lee Sung Kyun played one of the main roles in the Korean film "Parasite". In 2020, this film received an Academy Award in the Best Picture category. “Parasite” became the first South Korean film to win an Oscar, as well as the first non-English language film to win an award in the main category of the award.
