10 people died due to storm in Australia

10 people died as a result of a storm on December 25 on the east coast of Australia, reports 9news . Several bodies were carried away by the flood waters.

Strong winds, hail, rain and thunderstorms hit Australia on December 25 and 26. The wind blew off the roofs of many houses and cut power lines. According to the latest data from the electricity supply company, several thousand subscribers in different cities remain without electricity.

The main blow fell on the state of Queensland, where at least seven dead were found. Among them is a nine-year-old girl found Dec. 26 in a flooded storm drain in Logan City.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the devastating storm on the east coast. Queensland Premier Steven Miles said damage from the storm and earlier Cyclone Jasper was in the "billions."
