The Ministry of Justice included the Help Desk project on the list of “undesirable organizations.” This was reported on the department’s website, . OVD-Info noted
“Support Service” helps victims of the war in Ukraine and tells their stories. The project was founded by former Meduza publisher Ilya Krasilshchik.
The list was also supplemented by the American “Global Network of Investigative Journalists” and the British project “The Real Russia”. The latter was founded by economist Sergei Guriev, writer Boris Akunin and actor Mikhail Baryshnikov. The organization's website states that it helps victims of the war in Ukraine and "unites all people of Russian culture who oppose criminal military aggression."
