Friends!
We all love to read good books, and publishing them in Russia is becoming more and more difficult. Over the past month alone, censorship banned the two most famous writers of the country - Bykov and Akunin.
So that the books do not end, new Russian -speaking publishers appear in the world. We believe that the best of them is Freedom Letters , established by the famous scribes George Urushadze. Here he talks about his work in an interview for us .
Freedom letters, the non -certificate publishing house, created in April 2023, has already released 54 electronic and about 50 paper books. Among the authors of the publishing house Ilya Yashin, Dmitry Bykov, Svetlana Petriychuk, Alexander Kabanov, Julius Dubov, Vera Pavlova, Nathan Scheransky, Henry Lyon Oldi, Sergey Davydov, Sergey Mostovshchikov and many others. Books are published in Ukrainian, Russian and English, printed around the world and are available both for the euro and for rubles (how to buy copies of books in Russia, read on the project website).
On the main page of the Novaya Gazeta -Europe site, now there is a window Freedom Letters, which gives access to new free Russian literature.
The editors of Novo-Europe are discussing the prospects for opening its own book series together with our partner.
We will read!
