A court in Izhevsk sentenced the first defendant in the case of a shooting at a local school to a suspended sentence

The Oktyabrsky District Court of Izhevsk handed down the first verdict in the case of the shooting at local school No. 88 in 2022. The judge sentenced the former director of the private security company "Shield" Alexey Zlobin to three years probation with a probationary period of three years, reports the joint press service of the courts of Udmurtia.

Zlobin was accused of providing services that do not meet security requirements (Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code) and selling counterfeit payments (Part 1 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code). He pleaded guilty to the second episode.

The court ruled that Zlobin did not provide the necessary access control on the school grounds and thereby endangered the life and health of students and teachers. As clarifies , he allegedly hired security guards who, due to their age and health condition, could not provide adequate security for the school. Interfax

Zlobin was also accused of selling fake orders to transfer money totaling 500 thousand rubles. Interfax writes that in 2021 he submitted fictitious payment orders to the bank, on the basis of which 500 thousand rubles were transferred to the account of his security organization.

The court took into account the health status of Zlobin and his relatives, his cooperation with the investigation and the presence of minor children as mitigating circumstances.

On September 26, 2022, 34-year-old graduate of Izhevsk school No. 88 Artem Kazantsev opened fire at her. According to Interfax, he killed 18 people, including 11 children. He also injured more than 20 people and committed suicide. After the shooting, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case for the murder of two or more persons (Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code), illegal trafficking in weapons (Part 1 of Article 222 of the Criminal Code) and incitement to hatred (Article 282 of the Criminal Code).

Alexey Zlobin was detained on September 28. Later he was placed under house arrest, and then his preventive measure was changed to a ban on certain actions.
