The Ministry of Internal Affairs has put on the wanted list the former vice-president of Gazprombank Igor Volobuev, who left to fight on the side of Ukraine. this with reference to the search database . reports Mediazona
It is not specified under what specific crime Volobuev is wanted. In October 2023, the Ministry of Justice added him to the register of “foreign agents.”
In December of the same year, Volobuev on wrote social networks that he had been serving in the International Legion of Ukraine for almost a year. As Mediazona notes, it includes, among other things, the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Freedom of Russia Legion.
Volobuev was born in the city of Akhtyrka, Sumy region. From 2000 to 2016, he headed the press service of Gazprom and was deputy head of the company’s information policy department. Then he moved to Gazprombank, where until 2022 he served as vice president and oversaw PR of industrial assets.
As Mediazona notes, after the start of the war in Ukraine, Volobuev moved to Kyiv and was fired from Gazprombank. In the spring of 2022, he told the Telegraph about the disappearance of all the money from his accounts at a credit institution.
