Activist and member of the medical workers' union Salavat Valeev from Bashkortostan was fired from his position as an ambulance driver for fictitious reasons. This was reported by the trade union of medical workers “Action” and RusNews .
Valeev was fired with the wording “repeated failure by an employee to fulfill his job duties without good reason in the presence of a disciplinary sanction.” The formal reason for dismissal was the lack of a paramedic’s signature on the waybill and dirt in the engine compartment of the car.
According to the medical workers' union "Action", Valeev received his dismissal order on the morning of January 10 after working a night shift.
- Salavat Valeev is a Bashkir activist who has repeatedly gone on pickets. According to his claim, a court in Bashkortostan ordered his employer to conduct a new special assessment of working conditions to determine the hazard class of the work. Among other things, the court ordered that it be taken into account that ambulance drivers help with carrying patients and medical equipment. In addition, in 2024, the activist filed a lawsuit against the employer demanding to pay the lost “stretcher” additional payments in the amount of 20% of the salary for the entire 2023.
