Harvard students of Jewish descent sued the university. In the lawsuit, which entered the Boston court on January 10, students claim that anti -Semitic sentiments that were only aggravated in connection with the attack of Hamas on Israel had long been widespread at Harvard. According to them, students and educational personnel pursued , intimidated, and even there were attacks on Jewish students in Harvard's audiences, at university events and social networks. The lawsuit was filed by students of schools of law and public health, as well as a student of the Harvard school of theology. In the lawsuit, students noted that the day after the Hamas attack on Israel, 30 student groups in Harvard anonymously signed a petition in which the Israeli government was accused of what happened. A day later, the University Directorate made a banal, according to the prosecutors, a statement in which Hamas and a collective petition did not condemn the actions and did not express support to Jewish students. When the signed the petition was exposed and the Harvard campus began to drive cars with their faces and names on billboards, the Harvard administration publicly condemned such behavior.

Students who have filed a lawsuit believe that Harvard adheres to double standards. In their opinion, the university administration is vigilant of all forms of discrimination, except for anti -Semitism.

“Harvard introduces election rules, just not to protect the Jewish students from oppression, hire professors who support violence against Jews and disseminate anti-Semitic propaganda, and also ignores the requests of Jewish students to defend. <...> At the same time, those who show transfobia, racism and resort to other forms of discrimination, ”the lawsuit says .

Students demand monetary compensation from the university, offer to remove from classes or exclude students participating in the persecution of Jewish students, and urge the administration to return the donations that she received thanks to the “hiring anti-Semitic professors and the implementation of the anti-Semitic curriculum”.

Harvard has not yet commented on a lawsuit against him.
