"VTsIOM" - Russians about winter

VTsIOM publishes its survey data:

“The majority of Russians generally like winter (74%), including one in four who said this with complete confidence (24%). Our fellow citizens see good and bad in winter to the same extent (79% named the advantages of this time of year, 78% - disadvantages).

In winter, our fellow citizens most often like white fluffy snow (35%), New Year's holidays (28%) and winter sports (17%). Dissatisfaction among Russians is most often caused by cold, snowstorms, frost, strong winds (40%), accidents at housing and communal services facilities (17%) and dirt on the street (16%).

Components of an ideal winter holiday in the minds of our fellow citizens:

Skiing, sledding and other winter sports (43%)

Visiting trips (37%)

Home gatherings (34%)

Top 3 most popular winter activities:

Skis, snowboard (24%)

Figure skating (18%)

Hunting and fishing (10%).”
