
In Voronezh, after an attack by drones on the night of January 16, an emergency regime was introduced, the mayor of the city Vadim Kstenin announced this.
According to local authorities, as a result of the fall of the wreckage of downed drones, a fire began in one of the multi -storey residential buildings, its inhabitants are evacuated. In several houses, glass is knocked out. In total, 35 apartments in three houses were injured, the regional governor Alexander Gusev said .
When fragments of a drone in one of the apartments on Teplichnaya Street, a girl born in 2013, was hit, Gusev wrote . He added that she was provided with medical assistance on the spot.
Teplichnaya Street on which the UAV was shot down is located near the Baltimore military airfield. He probably became the goal of the attack.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that five Ukrainian drones were shot down over Voronezh and the region from 1:50 to 2:50, three more were intercepted. Kyiv did not comment on these statements.
Since the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the region has been regularly subjected to UAV attacks and shelling.
