On January 15, Prokhanov was found guilty under the article on abuse of freedom of the media (Part 2.1 of Article 13.15 of the Administrative Code) due to the publication “The USA and the EU are provoking the continuation of the war in Ukraine.” On December 18, the writer was fined under the same article because of the text “A New War in the Middle East: What Will Happen Next?”, which also mentioned the Carnegie Foundation.
