The head of the Kharkov regional administration, Oleg Sinegubov, said that on January 16 at 21.42 the Russian army fired two missiles, presumably S-300 air defense systems.
As a result of the shelling, 17 people were injured (16 women aged from 38 to 90 years and a 31-year-old man), 13 of them were taken to hospital, two women are in serious condition. RBC-Ukraine, citing the police, reported one death.
In the Kholodnogorsk district of Kharkov, the facades of about 20 apartment buildings and the premises of a private medical institution were damaged, and 14 cars were destroyed. Rescuers evacuated 30 people.
