Larisa Bochieva, a supporter of “Citizens of the USSR” from Dagestan, who is accused of organizing extremist activities (Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code), has had the ban on certain actions extended. Kavkaz.Realii drew attention to information about this.
Bochieva was sent to a pre-trial detention center in March 2023, a month later she was transferred to house arrest, and later to a ban on certain actions. Kavkaz.Realii discovered a ruling of the Supreme Court, which approved the extension of this preventive measure on December 25 last year. Although the name of the defendant is hidden in the resolution, the date of consideration of the appeal corresponds to the date indicated in Bochieva’s card on the website of the Kirovsky District Court, which is considering her case. The court is not currently considering any other cases under this article.
The resolution approving the extension of the ban on certain actions states that Bochieva is raising a child with a disability, her father was diagnosed with cancer, and the woman’s husband was previously mobilized and is now undergoing treatment in a military hospital.
Bochieva was detained in Belgorod and taken to Dagestan on March 18, 2023, after which she was placed in custody. Previously, she was charged in absentia under the article on organizing the activities of an extremist organization (Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code) and put on the federal wanted list. At least two more women are involved in the case: Tatyana Fomina and Zainulla Abdullaeva. They are charged with organizing and participating in extremist activities (Part 1 and Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code). At the beginning of March last year, their cases were brought to court. Bochieva's case was brought to court in November last year.
According to the investigation, from October 23, 2020 to March 12, 2022, the defendants organized the activities of the executive committee of the Makhachkala City Council of People's Deputies of the Dagestan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic within the RSFSR/USSR. In addition, from December 1, 2019 to October 23, 2020, Fomina and Abdullaev participated in the activities of the executive committee of this organization.
On March 12, 2022, “citizens of the USSR” gathered in the office of the “Makhachkala Executive Committee of the DASSR” and the “Trade Union of the DASSR”. Later, Investigative Committee officers burst in , took everyone’s phones, seized equipment from the office and took the detainees to the police department. Searches were carried out at Fomina's house and at Abdulaev's work. Four people, including Fomina and Abdullaev, were detained - initially they were charged with calls for extremism (Article 280 of the Criminal Code).
Larisa Bochieva, in addition to her activities in the “Citizens of the USSR”, also repeatedly went out to protests calling for the preservation of Lake Ak-Gel, and in 2019 she participated in a picket demanding an investigation into the death of the Gasangusenov brothers killed by security forces.
