A court near Moscow arrested the PR woman of the head of Bashkortostan in a fraud case

The Krasnogorsk City Court of the Moscow Region arrested Elena Prochakovskaya, head of the department of the head of Bashkortostan for social communications, in the case of fraud using official position (part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code). Kommersant was informed about this by the court’s press service.

According to the security forces, in the summer of 2017, an official, working in the administration of Krasnogorsk, fictitiously employed her friend at the local MFC as a chief specialist, taking her salary and “other payments” for a year. The Investigative Committee adds that the “accomplice in the theft of budget funds” was convicted in August 2023. The details of this case are still unknown.

Prochakovskaya worked in the administration of Krasnogorsk when the post of mayor of the city near Moscow was held by Radiy Khabirov. In 2018, Khabirov was appointed head of Bashkortostan, and Prochakovskaya went with him to Ufa.

This is not the first time that criminal cases have been brought against officials from Khabirov’s circle. A month ago, a court in Ufa arrested Ruslan Kazykhanov, adviser to the head of Bashkortostan on science. He is accused of fraud (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code) when concluding two contracts for a total amount of 18.3 million rubles.
