The average price of the airbuilding in the economy class cabin in Russia in 2023 increased by 22.2%, RBC reports with reference to Rosstat's data. In December, the average cost reached 7.6 thousand rubles per thousand kilometers of flight.
According to the publication, this is the most significant increase since 2008, when the average prices per year, according to Rosstat, rose 30.9%. In 2022, the cost increased by 15.6%, in 2021-by 5.97%.
The Federal Antimonopoly Service was informed RBC that "the period from 2020 to 2022 is not representative, taking into account the various levels of the industry during the pandemic period." At the same time, according to FAS, the cost of tickets in 2023 in relation to 2019 increased by no more than 10%. The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation did not comment on this.
According to the Yandex Traveling service, which RBC cites, among the 10 most popular areas in Russia, the most prices increased on flights to mineral waters (+50% to the cost of the flight in 2022, to 14.8 thousand rubles per tripping ticket). Prices for flights in Makhachkala rose by 49% per year (average price - 15.6 thousand rubles). Flights to St. Petersburg went up by 33% (to the average price of 10.7 thousand rubles), in UFU - by 30% (up to 9.52 thousand), in Moscow - by 29% (up to 10.05 thousand).
