Human rights activist Gregory Winter received 3 years under an article on fakes

The court in Cherepovets sentenced the local human rights activist Gregory Winter to the three years of the colony under the article on the so -called fakes about the Russian army. This was announced by the correspondent of the North Real.

Winter was convicted of commentary on VKontakte about the actions of the Russian military in the Kiev region. The prosecutor requested a colony for him for more than six years.

The human rights activist is sick with diabetes - and for the announcement of the sentence he took a large bag of medicines, writes Sota. The day before, he asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to allow him voluntary euthanasia in the event of a real term.

Winter fears that in the colony they will not be able to provide him with the necessary medicines - and he is waiting for "a painful death among other people's, cruel and extremely indifferent people." Previously, he already had difficulties with obtaining insulin in jail.

Gregory Winter is the former Vologda coordinator of the "For Human Rights" movement. He also helped representatives of LGBT+ and homeless animals. During the investigation, Winter tried to attach ten cats that he lived with him. The Memorial considers Winter a political prisoner .
