Baymak is a town in Bashkortostan, surrounded by the Ural hills. It is inhabited by indigenous Bashkirs. People raise horses and cows and engage in beekeeping. There are no high-rise buildings in Baymak, and there is a winding road leading to the courthouse. Along it, despite the frost, men and women, elderly people and young people flock to the court. The roads to the court are blocked by the police, and a tractor drives out across the crowd. People park their cars and continue on foot.
