Drones attacked a port in the Leningrad region

On the night of January 21, drones attacked the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region. As a result, a gas storage facility belonging to the Novatek company caught fire. Local governor Alexander Drozdenko reported only about the fire and the successful evacuation of personnel, without mentioning the causes of the fire.

In turn, the local publication Fontanka, citing eyewitnesses, wrote that the fire was preceded by an attack by two drones. The Russian Ministry of Defense did not comment on reports of the attack, reporting on the destruction of drones in other regions of the country.

Later, Ukrainian media, citing sources, reported that the attack on the port was organized by the Security Service of Ukraine.

According to Hromadske ’s interlocutor, the terminal was hit with precision, which resulted in a large-scale fire. The source also emphasized that this attack will significantly complicate fuel logistics for the Russian military.

“The Ust-Luga Oil terminal in the Leningrad region is an important facility for the enemy. They process fuel there, which, in particular, is supplied to the Russian troops,” added the RBC-Ukraine source.

At the same time, dozens of protesters in Baymak were found guilty under administrative charges of violating the rules of holding rallies and disobeying the police. Most of them were sentenced to arrest. Thus, according to OVD-Info, the courts in Ufa considered at least 25 administrative cases against protesters, and in Baymak at least 17 protest participants were arrested.

Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled a market in annexed Donetsk

Local telegram channels wrote that about two dozen 155-mm artillery shells fell in the market area within 30 minutes. In turn, representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that they “did not conduct combat work with weapons of destruction in Donetsk.”

The authorities of the annexed Donetsk region declared January 22 a day of mourning for the victims.

Hundreds of volunteers joined the search for Twix. Nine days later, the animal's body was discovered. According to veterinarians, Twix died from dog bites and frostbite.
