The Sovetsky District Court of Ufa sent Dayan Valeev and Rayat Davletbaev to pre-trial detention until March 17 because of a rally in support of activist Fail Alsynov. This was reported by the telegram channel of the joint press service of the courts of Bashkortostan.
Earlier, two more protest participants , Azat Mirzin and Vilyur Karachurin, were arrested for the same term. Mirzin, Valeev and Davletbaev are charged with participation in mass riots (Part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code) and the use of violence against a government official (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code). According to OVD-Info, Karachurin is also charged with the same charges, while the press service of the court writes that he is charged only under the article on mass riots.
According to activists and relatives, two more people are involved in the case of mass unrest - Dim Davletkildin and Ilyas Bayguskarov.
All of them were detained after the national gathering, which took place on January 17. On this day, the court in Baymak sentenced the Bashkir activist and ex-leader of the Bashkort movement Fail Alsynov to four years in a general regime colony under the article of inciting hatred or enmity (Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code). Alsynov’s associates gathered at the court. After the verdict was announced, security forces began to detain protesters, and clashes began. Some participants in the gathering were subsequently arrested . In addition, the security forces opened a criminal case against the protesters under articles on organizing mass riots (Part 1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code) and participation in them (Part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code), as well as under the article on the use of violence against security forces (Article 212 of the Criminal Code). 318 CC).
