The film “Panic attacks” by Ivan Tverdovsky was released on the screens

This is the sixth film of a famous young director, a winner of many film performances, and, perhaps, his most mature movie. Although each Tverdovsky film concerns some complex, insoluble problems, whether it is coexistence with people with disabilities (“Correction Class”), or the history of an orphan, which has an atrophied sense of pain (“taps”), or an incurable injury to the “Nord-Oste” tragedy. All his heroes are with "features." According to Tverdovsky, we are all with "features". Or not?

Our time. December. Eighteen -year -old Vika (Lena Tronina) sleeps and sees to escape from the dim monogram nickel of the Murmansk region to a close neighboring Norway, where her older sister (Daria Savelyeva) had already escaped. The sister, however, works there on the patch. Well, okay, but not here.

The film begins with a black square of the screen, stunned by a strange hum, drops of water, tapping, breathing. In a darker apartment, the elderly aunt (Marina Kleshcheva) “treats” Vika from “Panic attacks” with a conspiracy. Two Vikin girlfriends are waiting for the ceremony to be held in the bathroom. We hear only this painful chipple rumble - either the howl of drain pipes, or an animal wolf fear.

"Open the door!" - Vika yells at the limit of his claustrophobic hysteria, interrupting the ritual.

Today, Vicki has a significant day: the long -awaited visa to the Norgam came to the northern kingdom of Norway by mail. Like a ticket to another planet. And even if the harsh, in a blue working dressing gown is a mother (Svetlana Kamynina) a ban on her tightly (“What should I do there? Why did I grow you? Vika is sure that she, like many of her peers, due to the emissions of the local chemical plant that affects the nervous system. “Here” she cannot survive.

So she came up with the kingdom, and moves towards the Norwegian Kirkines, as if fascinated by a meeting with the Snow Queen Herd, overcoming frost, humiliation of border guards, fear, indifference of friends. The main thing is to get. "There" she will be happy.

At first, the film resembles the debut of Natasha Meshchaninova “Hope Combine”: there is also all the hope of local youth-for a shabby opportunity to break out. Moreover, there is an internal connection of two paintings. The fact is that the heroine dreaming of leaving the northern city of Norilsk in the "Hope" Hope was played by Daria Savelyeva. And Tverdovsky offered her the role of the elder sister who had already left for Norway. But unlike the philistine with her superrealism, Tverdovsky let in otherworldly forces into the film.

The working name of the film is “Clicking”. Changing the name, the picture was preserved by the mystical gene.

On the way to Norway, the heroes are wrapped in the deepest mine in the world - the Kola ultra -deep, in order to scream their desire into the ears in the ears. It seems that the devil heard him, the communication session took place.

“Panic attacks” is a row-muy that rides along the edge of the genres: disaster, drama, gignol, a tragedy without catharsis.

When the frost envelops a stalled car with a fugitive, Nikitos jokes gloomily: "Now it will be like in a bad movie." And on the horizon, a strange figure loopes in black. Either Mephisto, or a lifeguard. And the director and the operator are gradually switching from general plans to a large one. Vikino's face seems to crawl out of the crowd of faceless citizens - the face of a sweet, quiet, smiling blonde with strange eyes. Either an angel with golden hair, or the devil who will figure it out there.

The film is thoughtfully shot. The camera of Artyom Emelyanov (“tightness”, “survivors”, “one small night secret”) builds his drama. A slow transition from general plans (indistinguishability of Nickel residents) to large - Vicki and Nikitos. There are two unforgettable frames from above: when Vika is prepared for a jump (with greenish neon backlight and black melt water below) and during a session with the Devil. A vertical plan from top to bottom - as if unclean power itself monitors these people climbing in dirty snow.

I must say about the work of Lena Tronina . The fact is that this is an adult, 33-year-old actress, and she manages to turn into an 18-year-old, unusual sausage, smiling girl who, it seems, does not know what to expect from herself. Her obsession is hidden even from her herself in the lining of the subconscious.

You can consider in the film with a radical ending the influence of the Trier movie. But this is if Trier would be taken to the Murmansk region and persuaded to make a movie at minus thirty about our frostbitten life.

It seems to me that Ivan, even telling the stories of “about others”, to some extent shooting a movie to himself, his fears, his feelings. In one of our conversations, he said:

“I am generally neurasthenik, I have panic attacks, I generally have a feeling of feeling of anxiety, fear, for me it is a physiologically close state. And in my environment there are a lot of people who experience this quite often. I see that yes, the time is very difficult, very nervous, stressful. But at the same time, I also know that there is another person who will say that everything is easy, great, cool and wonderful, never lived better. ”

On the square in Nickel there is a heated one, with bulbs and a microphone of Karaoke booth. Girls (and Vika in the initial episodes) in it are throbleing the songs of the zero - about “their island of love”, about “this is the sea, this summer”, “these stars”. And so that "one hundred roads led to a dream." And then they dress warmer and wander around gray snow in their apartments for TVs - light sources in a long polar night.
