On January 24, Danis Akhmetov was sent until March 17 to pre-trial detention center No. 1 in Ufa on the case of participation in mass riots (Part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code). His wife Ilyuza reported this to OVD-Info.

According to the prosecution, the activist “negatively assessed” the groups of people “residents of the North Caucasus or Central Asia”, “Armenians”. The man explained that the security forces “didn’t like” his statement about “migrants who come to the republic and engage here, among other things, in illegal mining.”
