On January 25, the Kirovsky District Court of Ufa sent five more participants of the gathering in Baymak to pre-trial detention until March 17 on the case of participation in mass riots (Part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the press service of the court.
The press release states that a preventive measure has been chosen for six defendants; their names are not mentioned. Most likely, one of them is activist Ilyas Bayguskarov; yesterday it became known that the same court sent him into custody.
The man was detained in Baymak on the day the verdict was announced against Fail Alsynov, but was later released. Then an administrative protocol was drawn up against Bayguskarov under the article on participation in an unauthorized event that resulted in interference with infrastructure (Part 6.1 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). The next day, the case was received by the Kirovsky District Court of Ufa, which returned the materials to the police to eliminate the deficiencies.
On the night of January 18, Baiguskarov was detained again - this time in Ufa. There he was informed of criminal prosecution. On January 22, he was arrested for seven days under an administrative article on organizing an unapproved event (Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). It turned out that he was also charged with this during his first arrest, and the article about participation in an unauthorized event that resulted in interference with infrastructure was later “crossed out” from the protocol.
