Bi-2 musicians in Bangkok are kept in a cage in the heat

The musicians of the Russian rock band Bi-2, detained in Thailand, are kept in the heat in the cell under the open sky in the center of temporary detention of the migration police in Bangkok. This was told by the journalist and presenter of the Rain television channel Mikhail Kozyrev.

“The conditions that they contain are completely monstrous. They are now in an open chamber - this is a cage under the red -hot sun, there are now 35–40 degrees of heat,” the journalist noted.

According to him, the members of the group were selected from the group, and also did not provide a transfer of court documents. In addition, they periodically “plant“ Russian -speaking ”negotiators in the cell to the musicians who exert psychological pressure on them, frightening the consequences of their affairs and hinting at bribes, Kozyrev said.

In his opinion, the Russian authorities directly control the situation with the Bi-2 group, this is an indicative reprisal against musicians who do not support the war, the journalist believes.

Bi-2 is one of several Russian rock groups that openly opposed the war with Ukraine. After that, the authorities recognized the leader of the collective Lev Bi-2 (real name-Egor Bortnik) “foreign agent”, and the collective musicians were forced to leave Russia. Among the team members are citizens of three countries: Russia, Israel and Australia.

The musicians of the Bi-2 group were detained on January 24 after a concert on Phuket, the court appointed them small fines for the performance without working visas, but after that the participants of the team were not released, but sent to the temporary maintenance center-it is assumed that for the subsequent deportation.

The Russian opposition politician Dmitry Gudkov said in an interview with "Currently" that the Russian general general in Thailand Vladimir Sosnov personally seeks the deportation of musicians who entered Phuket for Russian passports, to Russia. Such, according to the consul, are five out of seven. Gudkov does not exclude that in case of deportation to Russia, the detainees may face criminal prosecution due to their anti-war position.

The Bi-2 participants themselves admitted that the reason for the detention was "documents incorrectly executed by the organizers." However, in their opinion, pressure from outside played an important role in the detention, the causes of which are the views and position of the musicians.
