During a hearing in the 2nd Western District Military Court in Moscow, the state prosecution read out transcripts of wiretapped conversations of the defendants in the case of the assassination attempt on propagandist Vladimir Solovyov. Mediazona published a transcript of part of the meeting with minor abbreviations.
Seven people are currently being investigated in the case of the “terrorist organization NS/WP”: Andrei Pronsky, Vladimir Belyakov (Scout), Timofey Mokiy, Maxim Druzhinin, Vladimir Stepanov (Molodoy), as well as Andrei Volkov and Dinis Abrarov. The last two are accused only of arson of military registration and enlistment offices, cars with Z- symbols and terrorist charges.
From the wiretap announced in court, it follows that in April 2022, Pronsky began searching for data on Solovyov and his relatives in the leaked databases of Yandex.Food and other services. He discussed with Mokiy, Belyakov and another acquaintance, Vasily Strizhakov, who was later tried separately, the purchase of new phones, which, as Pronsky hoped, would allow him to hide from the Russian special services.
Neo-Nazis also discussed the next steps they would take after tracking down the propagandist. Belyakov offered to intercept the call when Soloviev was ordering pizza and send him poisoned food. As an option, Belyakov also mentioned treating a car steering wheel or shoes with poison. According to Pronsky, the “normal option” is to send a courier with explosives to the TV presenter.
“We deliver it to him by courier. That means we put it in the box, we build the camera into the box. The courier brings in the box, Soloviev takes it. We see that the camera appears from the bag, that he has it, well, there is a microphone, that he picked it up. And then you’ll light a candle for the courier,” the wiretap recorded Pronsky’s words.
According to the transcript, the defendants in the case considered themselves “professional killers,” but at the same time they complained about their associates abusing mephedrone and had frank conversations, unaware of the wiretapping.
