FSB officers detained mathematician Artem Khoroshilov. They suspected him of DDoS attacks on Russian critical information infrastructure, TASS reports . He was charged with unlawful influence on critical information infrastructure (Part 4 of Article 274.1 of the Criminal Code).
A TASS source claims that the hacker Khoroshilov has already admitted his guilt and declared his readiness to cooperate with the investigation. The accused is being held in the Moscow Lefortovo pre-trial detention center. He is under arrest until May 12, 2024, reports the press service of the Moscow courts.

In 2019, he defended his dissertation for the degree of candidate of physical and mathematical sciences at the Institute of General Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
