
French President Emmanuel Macron condemned the murder of two French volunteers in Ukrainian Berislav as a result of the attack of the Russian drone on February 1.
In addition, three French volunteers were injured.
Macron called the attack " a cowardly and unworthy act ."
“ My thoughts are with their close and wounded comrades. I express solidarity to all volunteers who strive to help people ,” he said.
Foreign Minister Stefan Sejurn said that Russia should answer for its crimes.
" Two French humanitarian workers paid their lives for their devotion to Ukrainians. Three were injured. My thoughts with them and their families. France supports them. Russia must answer for its crimes ," he said.
According to the publication, two humanitarian workers who died in Berislav were members of Entraide Protestante Suisse.
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky expressed condolences to the families of the dead.
"The Russian terror knows neither borders nor nationality of victims. The brave French humanitarian workers helped people, and we will always be grateful for their humanity. I express my condolences to their relatives. I wish other terrible attacks from this terrible attack ," the president wrote.
