The cost of an exclusive partnership at SPIEF 2024 has risen to 155 million rubles

The 27th International Economic Forum (SPIEF) will be held in St. Petersburg from June 5 to 8. Despite the fact that the forum has long lost its significance as a status platform for attracting large international investors, participation in it is becoming more expensive from year to year. The Bell has learned how much sponsorship will cost in 2024.

What's happened?

The organizer of the event, the Roscongress Foundation, has traditionally prepared several types of partnerships for businesses to ensure promotion on the forum site. This year, participation in the forum has risen in price again, as follows from the prices reviewed by The Bell.

• The cost of the exclusive status “Title Partner” with the maximum possible set of privileges increased from 145 million rubles in 2023 to 155 million.
• The general partnership will cost 107 million rubles, with the possibility of building a two-story stand - 117 million rubles. Last year, a single package cost 100 million rubles.
• It will be possible to purchase the “Partner” status for 59 million rubles compared to 55 million in 2023.
• A “business program partner” with a meeting room will cost 22.5 million, without - 15 million rubles.
• The status of “Partner of the Governors’ Living Room” will cost 12.9 million rubles, “General Partner” - 18.2 million rubles.
• The cost of the cultural program partnership will be 2.5 million.
• The partnership for the sports and entertainment program will cost 3.8 million rubles.

SPIEF is becoming more expensive, despite the fact that it has long lost its original meaning - attracting foreign investors. Their representation has been declining since the 2010s, when the United States began imposing sanctions on Russia.

In 2022, the organizers still tried to pretend that the forum was a successful international event, and Vladimir Putin’s speech was positioned as a manifesto of a new “anti-colonial liberation movement” - although what was most remembered was the demarche of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

In 2023, there were also no Western guests - at the plenary session Putin was accompanied only by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. And last year, for the first time in the history of the forum, its organizers refused on principle to accredit journalists from “unfriendly countries” - that is, correspondents from all the world’s largest media outlets.
