Ukraine expects to receive the first funds from the European Union under the UKRAINE Facility program for 50 billion euros in March 2024. This was stated by First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economics Yulia Sviridenko on the air of national television.
“We hope that the first tranche we will receive in March in the amount of 4.5 billion euros. In the first year, we will predict 18 billion euros of direct budget support,” the minister said.
Sviridenko emphasized that with the means of the EU alone it would not be possible to block the deficit in the budget of Ukraine.
“Therefore, we hope that American partners will follow the EU example,” she added.
The leaders of the European Union during the summit on February 1approved the allocation for Ukraine 50 billion euros as part of the UKRaine Facility program.
