The administration of the St. Petersburg State Institute of Film and Television asked film critic Anzhelika Artyukh to resign. The film expert spoke about this on Facebook.

Artyukh claims that the institute’s leadership is “afraid of the consequences” of her stay in the United States, where the film critic is researching the work of Kathryn Bigelow, the first female director in history to receive an Oscar. “Caution, news” writes that Artyukh went to the United States on a Fulbright scholarship program.

The film critic added that she was sorry to leave the Department of Drama and Film Studies, where she worked as a professor. “Now they will not report on my VAC articles, they practically have none of their own, but they will teach students using my books. Whatever you say, the fate of scientists in Russia in our time is a special story,” wrote Artyukh.
