The list of persons with whom local police officers must carry out preventive work has been supplemented by persons involved in administrative cases under three articles. Amendments to the corresponding order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were published on February 2 on the Federal Portal of Regulatory Legal Acts.
We are talking about articles on demonstrating prohibited symbols (Article 20.3 of the Administrative Code), discrediting the Russian Army (Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code) and disobedience to a lawful order of a police officer (Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code). The basis for starting preventive work will be the entry into force of decisions on such administrative cases: according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, those involved in them “defiantly violate the legally established prohibitions on the dissemination of extremist views and ideas, as well as discrediting public authorities.” They will be interviewed and their lifestyle monitored.
Previously, those who were brought to justice under the rally article (Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code) and the article on violating the rules of behavior of spectators during official sports competitions (Article 20.31 of the Administrative Code) were subject to prevention.
