On the night of February 7, Russia shelled Ukraine, local authorities said.
Because of the shelling, five people died - in the Kherson , Zaporozhye and Nikolaev regions, and later Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky reported two deaths in Kiev. In the Kherson region, three more people were injured.
Authorities in the Ukrainian capital reported 11 casualties as a result of the missile attack. The National Police clarified that an apartment building was damaged by debris.
The head of the Kharkov regional administration, Oleg Sinegubov, reported two wounded as a result of shelling in the region over the past 24 hours. Doctors will amputate one woman's fingers; another victim did not require hospitalization.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces reported 44 missile targets shot down on the night of February 7. Among them are 29 cruise missiles and 15 drones.
