Andrey Kordochkin - about the Russian world

in the Novaya Gazeta publication Archpriest Andrei Kordochkin writes :

“Most researchers believe that there is no consistent doctrine of the Republic of Moldova. Thus, M. Laruelle defines it as a “floating signifier”, the formlessness of which is its integral property and the meaning of which depends on the audience and context. According to N. Vasilevich, “there is not and never has been a single ideology of the ‘Russian world’; it is a whole series of myths, metaphors and ideas, including in their Orthodox wrapper, but not exclusively in it,” and therefore “the current support ** * on the part of the leadership of the Russian Orthodox Church, in my opinion, this is not so much support for the ideology of the 'Russian world', but rather the authoritarian regime of Vladimir Putin.”

This is the opinion of not only scientists. Thus, A. Lukashenko stated: “I asked the ambassador (Russian - Polit.Ru) what does the gathering of Russian lands mean and what is the Russian world? Nobody ever explained it to me. After the elections, someone planted this stupidity with Russian government ideologists, and they started singing this song. This is a far-fetched, stupid setup.”

Even the same RM preacher may not have a clear picture of what RM is. Thus, S. Aleynikova draws attention to the fact that Patriarch Kirill defines the Republic of Moldova in extremely vague categories, such as the “Russian way of living,” without revealing its content, features and differences from other ways of living.

In addition, she notes, “in three paragraphs of one speech on the topic of the “Russian world” on September 6, 2014, the patriarch uses the impersonal pronoun “this” fourteen times, and the terminological spread in the context of the topic under consideration includes about one and a half dozen options, each of which carries independent semantic load.”

Despite the obvious collapse of the Republic of Moldova, it remains extremely dangerous. Considering that the military doctrine of the Russian Federation allows for the use of the army to protect the interests of compatriots abroad (and they exist everywhere), given the increasingly loud narrative about “Russophobia” in “unfriendly” (that is, almost all Western) countries, it is obvious that the thesis about the “defense” of the Republic of Moldova, you can justify any adventure, which the Russian Orthodox Church, without any doubt, will bless and approve, declaring it a “war with the Antichrist,” as it is doing now.”
