Presidential candidate from the New People party Vladislav Davankov said that he wants to invite politician Boris Nadezhdin, who was denied registration, to include some of his theses in his election program, writes . Kommersant

“Yes, I found out that Boris Nadezhdin, to my great regret, was not registered. I have said more than once that I am for political competition, where everyone could convey their position. We have known each other for quite a long time, and I think that this week in Moscow we will discuss which blocks of his program can be included in mine,” Davankov said. He noted that his and Nadezhdin’s positions “do not agree on everything.”

Davankov did not specify whether he addressed Nadezhdin directly. Kommersant writes that Davankov planned to present his own program on February 1, but postponed the presentation to February 15 - in particular, to discuss cooperation with unregistered candidates.

Among them, Davankov, in addition to Nadezhdin, also mentioned Anatoly Batashev, who planned to participate as a self-nominated candidate. According to Davankov, he has already included “several blocks” from Batashev in his program.

According to Kommersant, which cites a source close to the presidential administration (AP), Nadezhdin has already approached New People with a proposal for cooperation in the Moscow City Duma elections, which will take place in September 2024, in exchange for support in the elections in State Duma in 2026. Kommersant’s interlocutor claims that the AP expects Nadezhdin to act “in the legal field.” “If he goes to court and does not call for rallies, then he can count on a prize,” the publication’s source said.

Nadezhdin himself, in response to questions from Kommersant whether he offered cooperation to New People and whether he would support Davankov in the presidential elections, said: “We think. I can’t say for sure right now.” When asked by RIA Novosti about cooperation with Davankov, Nadezhdin replied that “a meeting is not expected yet: we are thinking, we are conducting surveys.”
