The concert of the group “Bi-2” was canceled in Dubai

The Bi-2 concert, which was scheduled for February 17, was canceled in Dubai. This was reported in the group’s Telegram channel.

“This cancellation will not affect other shows on our tour schedule - the remaining shows will take place on their scheduled dates,” the post reads. The reasons for the cancellation are not reported. Money for tickets will be refunded automatically by the Platinumlist service.

Earlier, the Mash telegram channel wrote that Russian diplomats were allegedly “discussing with the UAE authorities the cancellation of the Bi-2 concert in Dubai due to the anti-Russian position” of the group members.

At the end of January, the musicians were detained in Thailand after a concert on the island of Phuket. They were reportedly in the country without work permits. The group members spent a week in prison. They were kept in a cage for 80 people in the open air. In addition, their phones were taken away and they were not provided with translations of court documents.

On February 1, after long negotiations with the Thai authorities, in which the ambassadors of Israel and Australia participated, all members of the Bi-2 group flew to Tel Aviv. The Russian ambassador allegedly demanded their deportation to Russia.

“Everyone told us that this was a Russian trace. The Russian consulate specifically [made] an order for the Bi-2 group in order to extradite us to Russia at the end. For what? Well, you understand. Play on spoons,” said group leader Egor Bortnik (Leva).

At the end of May 2023, Bortnik was recognized as a “foreign agent.” Before this, he said that he would not return to Russia. Under one of the Instagram posts where Victory Day was discussed, the musician wrote that “Putin’s Russia only causes disgust and disgust,” and that “Putin and all his mentally retarded trash destroyed the country.”
