The acquittal of the smuggling case of 472 kg of cocaine was canceled

On the website of the first appeal court of general jurisdiction, information appeared about the abolition of the justification sentenced by the Moscow City Court on August 16 last year on the basis of the jury verdict.

It was a very strange trial. There were three citizens of Lithuania and two Russians who were accused of creating a criminal community and smuggling in Russia 472 kilograms of cocaine.

Igor Grigas considered the organizer and head of the international criminal community, participants in Russian citizens George and Ivan Radomirov and citizens of Lithuania Ernestas Kazlauskas and Mindaugas Koretsas. At the same time, Kazlauskas and Koretsas were detained with a red-handed, right in a container that had already been overloaded from a sea vessel, who arrived in St. Petersburg from Ecuador, to a container car, was taken outside the port of the port and even unloaded.

The moment of detention of Lithuania citizens right in the container, in which cocked caches with cocaine were equipped, was recorded by the shots of operational video posted on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs back in 2021 (details in the publication of Novy on September 4, 2023 “Execution with the Right -handed. But for some reason this record was not shown. In court, many very important evidence for the case were not investigated. As a result, on August 16, 2023, the jury issued an acquittal in relation to the defendants who were accused of smuggling in Russia 472 kilograms of cocaine. On the same day, right in the court of the court, Grigas, Kazlauskas, Koretsas and the Rodomirov brothers were released from custody. And already on August 17 they left Russia.

On August 26, 2023, the Prosecutor General’s Office protested the decision of the Moscow City Court. The first appeal court of general jurisdiction canceled the verdict issued on the basis of the jury verdict, and sent the case for a new consideration. But the new consideration of the case is problematic. Because the defendants today are outside the access of justice of Russia.
