A new religious shade appeared in the ongoing conflict around the Gaza: the Maronite Patriarch of Livan-Cardinal Behara Butros Ar-Ray-performed with a sharp criticism of the Lebanese Hezbollah and its policy of escalating tension with Israel.
This happened during one of his recent sermons. The radio cardinal spoke of the difficult situation of people living in the villages of South Livan, who turned out to be hostages of the confrontation between Israel and Hezbollah: recently, the southern regions traditionally controlled by this pro -Isran Shiite group are subjected to shelling from Israel. He literally repeated everything that the residents of Lebanon are discussing every day: unlike many third -party observers around the world, the Lebanese - Arabs - are not at all eager to harness for the Palestinians and Gaza in the current war. They are categorically against the spread of the conflict between Israel and Hamas to Southern Lebanon.
Earlier, the Patriarch advocated that the Lebanese army disarm Hezbollah and restore control of the Southern Lebanon, emphasizing the importance of national sovereignty and security.
Supporters of Hezbollah in response deployed a fierce campaign against the patriarch and even threatened his life. In social networks, posts were dispersed in which the paradise was called the "Patriarch of Zionism." In some of these posts, a patriarch with a loop on the neck was depicted. "Do you think we do not know how to hang?" - said the signature. More moderate from these posts ridiculed the Patriarch for his statement that "the Lebanese people were tired of the war."
However, this is true: the Lebanese people are tired. During the period of many years of political instability and economic crisis, the war with Israel is the last thing the majority of the Lebanese would like. This will sound surprisingly, but even the Lebanese Hezbollah, it seems, is not ready for this now-and this can be illustrated by the fact that today, after four months of the war between Israel and Hamas, Hezbollah supports its colleague terrorists only in a word. The second front is still not open, only conversations are going on.

This, however, does not mean that Hezbollah, and after it, all Lebanon cannot be drawn into this conflict. Unfortunately, now this is no longer the decision of the Hezbollah itself.
Here is a simple chronological list of the last losses of Iran and Hezbollah.
At the end of December, Razei Musavi, a military adviser to the Iranian “Corps of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution”, a high -ranking commander of the KudS unit - became the victim of another blow in Syria. Musavi coordinated military cooperation between Iran and Syria. Israel did not confirm and did not deny his responsibility to eliminate the general, although no one has no doubt who liquidated Musavi. Iran and Hezbollah, of course, threatened Israel with an omission, but this did not stop the Israelis.
On January 2, as a result of the Israeli strike on the southern suburbs of Beirut (the district, firmly controlled by Hezbollah), deputy leader Hamas Salekh al-Aruri was killed.
On January 8, as a result of an attack of a drone in the village of Majdal-Selm (11 km from the border with Israel), the Vissam al-Taville, the commander of the elite unit Radwan as part of Hezbollah, was killed. Taville played a key role in the leadership of operations in the southern region.

On January 29, Israel struck at the deployment point of Iranian advisers in the Syrian Damascus. As a result, General Sadeg Omidzade, an intelligence officer of the Iranian forces of KudS in Syria, and his deputy, known under the call sign of Hajj Golam, were killed. The multi -storey building occupied by the advisers was completely destroyed by high -precision missiles.
Last week, the Israeli military themselves announced that they had inflicting another airline for the unnamed Hezbollah leader, who was seriously wounded. Another person who was with him was also wounded. The attack happened in the Southern Lebanese city of Nabaty, which is relatively far from the border.
On Saturday, three people died in Lebanon from the next blow of the Israelis, including two civilians. The attack was aimed at some Hamas Palestinian official, but he just survived.
On Monday, February 12, as a result of the “Israeli blow” by car in the city of Bint-Jbeil in the south of Lebanon, Mohammed Alavia (the next field commander of Hezbollah) later died ...
These purposeful actions seem to indicate a thorough surgical approach of Israel to relieve the threat of Iran; indicate a deep awareness of the whereabouts and activities of high -ranking officials of the Iranian KSIR and Hezbollah.
However, against the backdrop of these events, the question arises regarding other possible motives of active shooting by Israel of Iranian commanders and shocks in the territories of Hezbollah. And here a lot indicates the active desire of the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu to open a new front.
The political future of Netanyahu is generally predictable: it is inextricably linked with accusations of corruption, and the escalation of a smoldering conflict in the north of the country can serve to shift the focus of the interest of Israeli society from its own prime minister to the eternal enemy in the person of Hezbollah.
The White House officials also express a fear that Netanyahu could start a full -scale war against the Shiite group as a means of protecting their own political heritage. And if Netangu himself is careful enough in choosing words in statements about his own intentions, then his Minister of Defense Galant is much more straightforward. During one of the recent speeches, he said that the government hopes to discard Hezbollah with diplomatic methods, but if this does not succeed, he would “act with all the funds available at his disposal,” including the military.

The persistent desire of the Israeli leadership to drive away the Hezbollah from the Israeli-Livanese border as a whole relies on the provisions of the UN Security Council, which also provides for the military version if diplomatic efforts are not crowned with success. However, are the diplomatic methods really exhausted? The international community observes these events with increased concern, expecting a wide escalation of tension in the region.
The ideal script of Israel involves the displacement of Hezbollah behind the Litani River in Lebanon and the creation of more than 40 kilometers with a length of more than 40 kilometers along the border of the demilitarized buffer zone - the same minister of Israeli defense Yoav Galant said this.
Well, that is, Israel will ensure its safety through geographical restructuring, which is unlikely to calmly swallow the Lebanese state itself.
But the Lebanese people do not want war and insists that neither Hezbollah nor Netanyahu have the right to draw people into it.
