FSB reported on the prevention of sabotage in the Leningrad region

The Federal Security Service of Russia reported on the detention, as claims, an agent of Ukrainian special services, which planned a diversion at a gas pipeline in the Leningrad Region. The press service of the department quotes RIA Novosti.

The report said that the detention occurred after the law enforcement agencies received a signal of a suspicious person in the area of the gas distribution station. The detainees, as the FSB stated, was "a foreign citizen, a Ukrainian by nationality."

RIA Novosti showed personnel with the interrogation of the detainee, which, as claimed, he admits that he ended up in Russia on the instructions of the SBU in order to damage the pipeline. Allegedly, the Ukrainian special services indicated to him through the Telegram messenger the coordinates of the place where he was supposed to pick up the explosive device.

Personal data of the detainee in the FSB press release are not reported. A criminal case has been instituted under articles on sabotage and the illegal circulation of explosives.

At the same time, the United press service of the courts of St. Petersburg writes that the Dzerzhinsky District Court of the city arrested a citizen of Kazakhstan Sergey Zazulya. The articles incriminated to him coincide with those indicated in the FSB press release. It is also argued that Zazulya graduated from the School of the KGB of the USSR.

On the eve of the FSB, she reported on the detention of a citizen of Belarus in 1998 in the case of arson of an electrical substation in Tula. The report claims that he acted on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services, which he contacted through criminal authority from Kharkov Grisha Moscow.
