In Selidovo, Donetsk region, a five-story building and a hospital were hit

In Selidovo, Donetsk region, three people were killed and 12 more were injured as a result of night shelling. A residential building and a hospital were hit, Ukrainian authorities say.

According to the Donetsk regional prosecutor's office, on the night of February 14, the Russian army launched a massive missile attack on the city of Selidovo. At 11:30 p.m., a rocket reportedly hit a five-story residential building, destroying one entrance.

“Five people were injured of varying severity, including three children aged 7, 12 and 16 years old. A 52-year-old man who was walking past the high-rise building was also injured,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

At 1 a.m., a rocket hit a medical facility. There, according to the department, three people died: “a 38-year-old woman who was in the hospital to remain pregnant, and a 36-year-old mother with a nine-year-old son.” In addition, six more patients were injured, including a six-month-old baby.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine clarifies that the main blow fell on the maternity ward. In total, about 200 people were in the hospital during the attack.

Russian authorities have not commented on the strike on Selidovo. The day before, on February 13, Russian military bloggers reported an attack on the Ukrainian Armed Forces training ground in Selidovo. Thus, in the telegram channels “Rybar” and “military correspondent” of “Komsomolskaya Pravda” Alexander Kots , it is claimed that the Russian army hit the Ukrainian training ground with Iskander-M missiles with a cluster warhead.
